£87M man‘very impressed with Arteta’and wants to join Arsenal

Arsenal target Mykhaylo Mudryk is “very impressed” with Mikel Arteta and wants to join the club, according to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs.

There is no doubt that this Arsenal squad are just a couple of big signings away from really competing for that Premier League title – and not just keeping the top spot warmed for Manchester City.

That has led to all sorts of speculation in the media that Arsenal are very much interested in trying to get a deal done for Mudryk  – an are even reportedly in talks over a possible transfer deal.

The Ukrainian star has caught the eye this season with some stellar performances in the Champions League – where He scored three times and added two assists from six appearances in the competition.

Now – amid all the speculation and the rumours – Jacobs has come out and claimed that Mudryk is very much interested in a move to the Emirates.

Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT: “From Mudryk’s point of view, he wants Arsenal, it’s as simple as that.

“He said that many times including directly to me in an interview that I did about two months ago, he said he can’t say no to Arsenal.

“He’s spoken directly with Zinchenko his countryman, he’s very impressed by Mikel Arteta and the style that the team play.”

Amid all the speculation and all the rumours Shakhtar chief executive Sergei Palkin recently come out and told The Athletic that any fee is likely to cost Arsenal FC a club record fee.

“Mudryk is a talent in a process. What he is showing today, it’s just 60 per cent of what he can do in the future. And when you multiply this, you realise that he costs much, much more.

“Therefore, we believe that in the future he can cost definitely around €100 million.”

However, Shakhtar’s director of football Dario Srna insists it is the market, rather than they, who dictate today’s prices: “The market is deciding the price – not me,” Srna said.

“Antony, Grealish, they are players of more than €100m and for me, Mudryk does not have less quality than them.”
